About me.

Hi, my name is Cynthia and I’ve been a science educator for over fifteen years. I have a master’s degree in secondary science education with endorsements in STEM education and instructional coaching. I hold Georgia certifications for grades 6-12 in general science, biology and earth/space science.

From curriculum development to launching new science electives, I’ve had the opportunity to teach AP Environmental Science, Biology, Earth/Space Science, Chemistry, Forensics, and Physical Science.

One of my personal interests has always been space science. I’m a pilot member of NASA CONNECTS and have completed both the NASA Space Camp for Educators and Advanced Space Camp for Educators programs. Please see below for more details.

Over the last few years I’ve also had a chance to work towards certifications for Projects WET, WILD, and Learning Tree and will become a facilitator for the programs in January. This is a national environmental science certification for grades K-12.

I love creating innovative ways to integrate science curriculum with the students’ everyday lives and this website showcases some of the ways I’ve done this. Please browse to learn more.

Thank you!
